Official
Runner Guide
It is critical that all runners taking part in Luna read the Official Runner Guide.
Here you will find information on pack collection, what to bring, what not to bring, rules, regulations and safety briefings!
Please make sure you read this guide ahead of arriving at Eridge Park, there is a lot of detail to take in and understand to ensure a safe and sound experience at Luna.
This will be available closer to the event in 2025!
One route,
four loops
All three challenges at Luna share the same route, which is made up of four loops: Green, Blue, Red and Black. The loops range from 3 to 8 miles and total up to 20 miles.
All loops start and finish within the Event Village.
The loops are all on beautiful and challenging trails through mediaeval woodland and expansive fields. GPX loops will be available to download when confirmed.
Below is the 2024 map to give you a flavour of what to expect. The loops for 2025 will be revised and shared in coming months.
Running
at night
Running in the middle of the night is amazing but it can come with some obvious stress and concerns.
There will also be hundreds of you out on the loops at the same time, so it is very unlikely that there won’t be a light ahead to follow. Plus, our team will always be on duty!
It is mandatory for all runners who will be running at night to wear a head torch and high viz during night time hours.
The Official Guide will contain all of this information in full.
We will be using reflective signage and will be marking the course at regular intervals. It will be very difficult to get lost - i.e. you will have to go to great efforts to get yourself lost!
Experience running when the stars are out, without the stress!
Event Village & Camping
Eridge Park is miles away from busy roads and there is very little light pollution so a night in peace and quiet under the stars beckons.
One night of camping is included for runners :
- For The 24HR and Weekender participants this must be the Saturday.
- Dawn 'til Dusk participants can choose Friday or Saturday
A second night can be purchased in the registration form.
Bring your tent or camper van and enjoy the Event Village with food, drink and good times. (Space is fairly unlimited, so don't worry if you bring an 8 man tent for one of you or a 2 man tent!)
Experience a weekend away in stunning surroundings - you can even bring friends and family.
Glamping will be available to book soon.
We have also put together a helpful packing guide of what to bring to Luna. Please take a look before you get ready to join us!
Do we have to be out running all the time?
Simply build up as many miles as you can in the timeframe and have a great time in a beautiful setting, with great people, making friends and having fun.
If you have limited team members, you can take a break, and reduce the amount of running you do. If someone doesn't want to run the black loop, or run at night, they don't have to. It's entirely up to you when and what loops you run.
The number of miles you achieve puts you on the road to Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. We will be awarding medals based on how far your team covers according to solo or team size.
BUT, this isn't a race. It's about enjoying this incredible venue and having a good time.
